How it works
Two of your own devices, one minute of setup. No app, no account, nothing stored.
1
Start the baby unit
Open babyphone.online on the device that stays with the baby — a spare phone, tablet or laptop — and tap Start baby unit. Allow camera and microphone. You'll see a 6-character room code and a QR code.
2
Start the parent unit
Open babyphone.online on your own phone and tap Connect as parent.
3
Open BabyPhone.online
Connect
Type the room code or scan the QR. That's it — you see and hear your baby live, and can talk back, play a lullaby, or turn on the night light from your side.
What you get
- Live video and sound with low delay, also on 4G/5G
- Talk back — your voice on the baby unit at the tap of a button
- Lullabies and your own MP3 playlist, played on the baby device
- Cry alert with adjustable sensitivity, plus an event log
- Night light, sleep timer, privacy shade (sound without video)
- Battery status of the baby device on your screen
- Interface in 30 languages
Frequently asked questions
- Do I need to install an app?
- No. Everything runs in the browser on both devices.
- Is my baby's video stored anywhere?
- No. Video and audio stream directly between your own two devices (peer-to-peer via WebRTC), encrypted in transit. Nothing is recorded or seen by a server. Details in the privacy policy.
- Does it work when the devices are on different networks?
- Yes — wifi at home, 4G/5G on the go. When a direct path is impossible, an encrypted relay forwards the stream without being able to view it.
- What does it cost?
- The core baby monitor is free, with no account required.
- What do I need?
- Two devices with a modern browser (Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox). The baby unit needs a camera and microphone; keep it on a charger.
Safety: BabyPhone.online is an aid, not a replacement for in-person supervision of your baby. Connections depend on your devices and networks and can fail.
